The reason why we can not accept believers to be partakers of a Pride Parade

For several years now we have been able to review “Pride Parades” in various countries across Europe. In those parades it is always noticeable that certain participants consider it necessary to do things that a normal person would only do behind closed doors.

During such parades, certain participants do not hesitate to perform challenging sexual acts in public.

Then it sometimes seems that sex with more than one person is also promoted and it is pretended to be the most natural thing in the world. They proudly parade there with excessive clothing or even without much to it.

At a seaside townā€™s Pride beauty pageant, there were those who did not mind to perform a ā€œstripteaseā€ in front of young children.

A video posted on social media shows a contestant dancing while simulating a sexual act on a cane in front of a group of minors at the festival in Kent on Aug 12.

The crowd can be heard cheering as the performer dances in a bra and underwear to the song Pony, by Ginuwine, featuring the lyrics:

ā€œIf youā€™re horny letā€™s do it. Ride it, my pony. My saddleā€™s waiting. Come and jump on itā€.

The footage posted on X, formerly Twitter, shows around a dozen girls and boys watching the display.

The event was hosted by Jonny Woo, a British comedian, and judged by artist Tracey Emin, actor Russell Tovey and Robert Diament, the director of the Margate-based Carl Freedman Gallery.

The competitionā€™s rule book states that ā€œobscenity, indecent exposure or sexual actsā€ by participants in public are prohibited.

Campaigners said the ā€œsexualised adult entertainment actā€ should not have been performed in front of children.

We can wonder where were the parents? And what sort of parents wants their children to see such obscenity?
Would those parents also sit their children in front of a sexually explicit adult entertainer?

This person performed a striptease and simulated performing fellatio on a wooden walking stick. If this sexualised adult entertainment act belongs anywhere at all, it belongs in a nightclub.

It has nothing to do with acceptance or not of queer people. In lots of cases, it even calls for aversion to what certain queer people do at such public demonstrations.

Kellie-Jay Keen, the founder of Standing for Women, said:

ā€œWhen it comes to the protection and safeguarding of children and the vulnerable, we should have learned by now that groups such as Pride, Stonewall, Mermaids, Educate and Celebrate, No Outsiders, any organisation set up around the sexuality and made-up identities of individuals, cannot be trusted.ā€

The same month (August 2023) in a pre-school four-year-olds got to see a ‘childrenā€™s book’ about Pride featuring men in bondage gear.

Parents had raised concerns with staff at Genesis Pre School in Hull after it was brought to their attention that children were being exposed to the images.

A staff member had checked with parents of the nursery pupils if they were happy with the contents of the book Grandadā€™s Pride to be shown to their children, but one flagged images of ā€œpartially nakedā€ men in ā€œleather bondage gearā€ as concerning.

A member of staff then defended the images, arguing the children would not understand the erotic and sexualised depictions. But what was the reason to show such a book when there are loads of interesting and some very good children’s books, also for toddlers?

The safeguarding lead at the school claimed the book showed people wearing costumes and rebuffed worries that the pictures were inappropriate, according to Hull Live.

Why also to bring dragqueen parades at different places, even in the renowned Tate Gallery? No wonder Sab Samuel, an autistic childrenā€™s author whose tour of 70 council libraries sparked furious protests last summer.

One also can question:

Where are the safe-guarding checks?
Why is this being funded with public money?

The same as we could expect from museums and schools, that they would seriously give educating information and not one-sided promotion to acts that belong to adult views only.

How can parents trust that their kids will be safe at Tate? Tateā€™s mission is to increase our enjoyment and understanding of art. How does this do either?ā€

Samuelā€™s drag story sessions were stormed by protesters at council libraries in the summer, prompting police escort and crisis talks among library chiefs.

In a short statement, Drag Queen Story Hour UK said:

ā€œOnly 3,000 signatures for one of the most internationally acclaimed museums in the world? Bit of a rubbish turnout isn’t it.ā€

The Family Education Trust had previously cautioned against what it termed ā€œwholesale indoctrinationā€ for children who might be experiencing confusion regarding their gender, and issued letters of protest against Drag Queen Story Hour Tour events across the country.

The event in Cardiff went ahead, and demonstrators outside the library protested against what they alleged was the ā€œsexualisingā€ of children.

Cardiff Council and the Welsh Government have refused to divulge how much was spent on the controversial Drag Story Hour event, citing commercial sensitivities.
