Tory backbenchers Paul Bristow, Flick Drummond and David Jones, former Foreign Office ministers Lord Swire and Sir Alan Duncan, and Lord Ricketts, who was national security adviser to Lord Cameron when he was prime minister, have all urged the Government to block sales now, according to The Guardian.
It comes as more than 600 legal experts, including three former Supreme Court judges, have written to the PM warning that Britain is itself breaching international law by continuing to allow the export of weapons to Israel.

EU expert Dr Lee Rotherham said “From contract cheats to payslip forgers, the annual report confirms once again that too many people in the European Union institutions see it as their own personal milch cow.

Col (Res) Nochi Mandel is one of two officers dismissed following the incident |

|
Even by the brutal standards of the Israel-Hamas war, it was an attack that shocked the world.
A deadly – and precise – drone strike on a humanitarian convoy in Gaza killed seven aid workers, including three Britons.
An investigation by the Israeli Defence Forces (IDF) characterised the strikes as a “grave mistake” but concluded there was no intentional harm.
However, the Telegraph can reveal that the most senior IDF commander dismissed for his role in the incident is a settler who signed an open letter in January calling for the territory to be deprived of aid.
A senior British lawyer said its contents – including a call for a “siege” of Gaza City – should be considered by the Israeli authorities investigating the killings.
Paul Nuki, Lilia Sebouai and Samuel Lovett reveal more in this exclusive report. |
