At the opening of the most important feast of the year, we observe the commemoration of the liberation of God’s People and also remember the sacrifice of the Son of God for mankind.
As night falls, we are facing a time when we will remember how the Elohim led His chosen People out of Egypt. It was an exodus for the Bnei Yisroel from human slavery. But these days we also remember the liberation or redemption of our spiritual slavery and of the curse of death.
The yoke of slavery is taken away by the one who was willing to give himself willingly for humankind as a ransom offering.
Eight days of reflection should lead us to order everything correctly and give us sufficient insight as to why we should be so grateful for what Jehovah God has provided for us.
