Britain wants Israel “to win” and will stand by the country in its “darkest hour” after the attack by Hamas, Rishi Sunak said as he visited Tel Aviv on Thursday. The Prime Minister said Israel had suffered “an unspeakable, horrific act of terrorism” on Oct 7, when Hamas gunmen rampaged through the country’s south, killing 1,400 Israelis and taking more than 200 hostages.
“I want you to know that the United Kingdom and I stand with you,”
Mr Sunak said shortly after landing in Tel Aviv. His trip came on the heels of a visit by US President Joe Biden, with Western allies attempting to balance support for Israel with efforts to prevent the conflict escalating further and spiralling outwards into the wider region.
“We will stand with you in solidarity. We will stand with your people. And we also want you to win,”
Mr Sunak told reporters while appearing alongside Benjamin Netanyahu.

The President of America and the Prime minister of Britain both rushed to Israel this week on 2 separate trips to express their support for Israel’s right to defend itself in the face of the Hamas attacks.
Biden said “I refuse” to let Hamas and Putin win. Sunak said he wants Israel “to win.”
With Bible in hand we are seeing Tarshish (UK) and a young lion (US) both supporting Israel – which is what Ezekiel 38:13 says will happen. The difference with the inner ring war is that Israel with US help(?) will win. But in the outer ring war (Russia/Iran etc) Israel doesn’t win.
When Russia comes down Israel is overrun and Jerusalem “shall be taken”. However, Israel ultimately wins both wars because Christ returns and saves the nation and world. Israel means “God prevails” or “God overcomes” or you might say “God wins”. God’s kingdom will replace man’s kingdoms.
Bible Quote
And he said unto him, What is thy name? And he said, Jacob. And he said, Thy name shall be called no more Jacob, but Israel: for as a prince hast thou power with God and with men, and hast prevailed. (Genesis 32:27-28)
Notice that Jacob was called Israel because he prevailed. That is the meaning of Israel – Israel is how God himself prevails / wins. Through the work of His Son….
