Prisoners of the darkness of night

“For you all belong to the light of day.
We have nothing to do with the darkness of the night.” (1 Thessalonians 5:5)

Today the weather is finally beautiful and the sun is down on us.

Even though, a lot of people today are swimming in the light of day, they actually dwell in darkness rather than in the light of reality.

Many are prisoners of the darkness of night. They are also not receptive to people who carry the light with them. Even though there are not that many preachers, they are walking around this earth. They want to show others how to move out of the darkness into the light. How they can break free from the power of God’s adversary.

For the children, the summer holidays are starting. This also prompts parents to take a few weeks off from work, so that they can spend more time with their children. Therefore, let them spend some more time in the coming days, reading from the Word of God together with the children.

“So that they will turn from darkness to light, from the power of Satan to God. Then their sins will be forgiven and they will receive the inheritance of those who belong to God, by believing in me.” (Acts 26:18)
