‘Civic journalism’ of burgerjournalistiek met schrijvers en/of bloggers die volhardend hun mening uiten en dingen aan de kaak durven stellen, kan de negatieve impact van sociale media tenietdoen: doordat ze niet meer focust op een zo groot mogelijk publiek te willen tevreden stellen, maar het publiek juist wil betrekken bij de inhoud die soms zelfs de kranten niet haalt, zonder de behoefte te hebben om de inhoud sensationeler en oppervlakkiger te maken.

To give an overview of what appears in the international press and what may be important points that deserve our attention, a lot of work needs to be done, and the question can be asked whether enough readers are interested in it.

The intention of this site was to provide a free overview of interesting events and to present a variety of different news articles. But due to the very low interest in these overview articles of newspaper reports, I doubt whether it is still useful to spend so much time on it.

Blogger seems too slow to be practical

For some time now the Blogger site does not want to load fast. I searched for answers and tried several things. Nothing seemed to make the site working faster. My usual browser is Firefox.
