Not enough time to keep pace with writing for different websites

Some good news:

Congratulations! Your site, Some View on the World, passed 10,000 all-time views.

The previous days I was very busy with things that had to be done around the house as well as for problems I had with my car, as well as the need to find enough time to write articles for my different websites.

Creating articles in Dutch, English, French and German requires a lot of time. And that is something which I seem to have a shortness of.

Over the years, it seems like the hours have gone by faster and faster, and I am running out of time. I have to admit that I have become slower in certain areas, but not so slow that I could do so much less work.

Artificial intelligence, situated approach, method of achieving artificial intelligence (AI)

I am not a machine, though I am happy to have a keyboard underneath my fingers. But the shortness of time to write enough articles to present regularly some article does not let me choose, like some writers seem to do the last days, to go for AI or artificial intelligence. I do hope I still can deliver enough intelligence to write some interesting articles. But I must tell you that I too am sensible to the number of readers I can get on the articles presented on this and other websites.

Traditional AI has by and large attempted to build disembodied intelligences whose only interaction with the world has been indirect (CYC, for example). Nouvelle AI, on the other hand, attempts to build embodied intelligences situated in the real world — a method that has come to be known as the situated approach.

Schools are facing the problem that some pupils are letting AI make their thesis. They do not feel ashamed to resort to the computer to have it write a treatise or thesis for them. To me, that’s just an embarrassing form of deception, which can’t be acceptable.

The Daily Telegraph (British newspaper) front page.jpgFor this website since last year, at the transition from Our World to Some View on the World, I tried also to place reviews of what is presented in the daily press.  Luckily, I do not have to pay too much to be able to use material from different sources, which are always mentioned. But the many small amounts that I have to pay here and there do increase, and so I also get an important sum for the copyrights every year.

As such, you can find announcements of what has been published in certain newspapers. But I regret to note that articles like the “Front Page” announcements from the Daily Telegraph don’t really attract many readers. One or two to at most four viewers come to read what is written there. That’s really very little for all that work that creeps into publication.
I now wonder whether it is worth publishing such press summaries.

Are there people interested in such articles?

Your findings on this are greatly appreciated. So feel free to let me know whether I should continue with this or not. In the meantime, you will have noticed that I have not published a front page for a few days. This was because for my ecclesia I was busy working out some arrangements for some new baptisms and for providing some articles in four languages. Such writing about spiritual matters requires also a lot of time and energy. You will also notice that the articles published here and in other places also contain links as well, as references or tags to other interesting articles. Such an inclusion also requires some time. And so it sometimes gets dark a little faster before we realise it, and I am called for eating or going to sleep.

Perhaps I should need some extra skills.

What’s a secret skill or ability you have or wish you had?

I would love to have the ability to write easily and fast.

But at the same time, you could ask

What’s something most people don’t understand?

as well as

Why certain people don’t understand some things

plus

What’s something most people don’t understand?
&
Why certain people are so stubborn and keep going against the mainstream?

Because we should question why so many people do not want to accept matters they are confronted with every day and over which so many people thought and spoke already for so many millennia.

In our world, there is so much going on, of which many things are in reality a repeat of what already went on for many centuries. Because a lot of people do not know their history, it is possible that so many bad things keep repeating over and over again. It is like people do not want to learn from many experiences.

In many countries, not much attention is given to past history and lots of people really are not much interested in it. For the majority, what counts is the now. Even for tomorrow, they are not so much interested. Most often they think that are worries for tomorrow and for others.

But everything in our life and world is about long ago, yesterday, tomorrow, after tomorrow and in the future.

After falling and getting up again more than once, I had to learn a lot of things in life the hard way. But I tried not to let myself be thrown down into a deep hole, instead, I tried to learn from the many bad and painful experiences I had to undergo. I too, made, like many others around me, several mistakes. They did bring me sometimes in very unpleasant situations are gave me a lesson in life practice the hard way.

With my profession, I was blessed to come in contact with lots of people from different continents.  Meeting people from diverse backgrounds, and experiencing different cultures, helped me to grow on different levels. In the artistic world, we also spoke a lot about spiritual matters and that way searching for the Truth I also tried to get the answers to many questions I had.

An anthropologist with indigenous American people

Over the years, there were a lot of things that I couldn’t get a grip on when certain people thought and acted in a certain way. To me, their brain twists often seemed to be very strange. That’s why I hoped to gain more insight into human thought and, even though I was still working in the theatre, I followed psychology out of interest and studied also anthropology. That also gave me a lot of opportunities to engage in very interesting discussions with several older people. Such mixed classes gave a lot of opportunities to learn. So it became an unmissable experience in my life. Unfortunately, the cost of studying in England was far too high for my wallet.

Probably like many, some of the most challenging experiences I had in life, you could say, were the ones which moulded me into what I am now. Good and bad experiences, meeting the right people on time, but also meeting the wrong people made me encounter moments of pleasure and of sorrow, which in the end were also rewarding. These experiences made me grow as a person both mentally and emotionally. Therefore, I am grateful for the lessons I learned from these tough times I had to endure.

In any case, I would not ignore the power of human connection.

It was funny, when people heard that I danced, they asked me what I did for earning my money, as if ballet dancing was not a proper profession. In the 1960 -1990s lots of people could not understand that a person could make a living out of the performing arts. Also, when they heard I was preaching, they found it strange I was married. That last bit, is because many Catholics not seeing their priests having a wife, and in several protestant churches the pastor’s woman was so much in the background people did not think of her.

For that preaching, it was also incomprehensible that so many people did and still do refuse to see who God and Jesus are. For many Jesus is their god, instead taking the God of Jesus, Who is the God of Israel, as their god. (That’s for the next post)

People not knowing the Bible, and it’s content and not being aware of the importance of our attitude to other people in this world and to God, made it necessary to use this website also as a means to spread the Gospel or Good News of the coming Kingdom, a task Jesus has given his followers and which I am still taking seriously.

So in the future, I hope to bring all kinds of news on this website, about what should concern us in this world and how we can place it in the light that God has provided in His Plan.

A lot of people don’t understand how everything that happens in the world is somewhere nevertheless related to certain things we should acknowledge. With good Biblical knowledge, it is also easier to put everything in the right proportions in that Plan of God. Though our understanding of what people understand or do not want to understand can change whilst we are growing older, it always can be a good subject for debate or discussion.

Not all people understand that each human being is unique and should keep its uniqueness and that all cultures may and should stay different, but that we should come to try to understand their way of thinking and handling. In a way, with this website, I hope to contribute to bringing an overview of what is happening in the world and how people from all over the world are interacting with it.
