For sure, the U.S. evangelicals seem to have a problem being. They seem to be handcuffed by politicians who must be assumed to be the only credible ones and the only ones who can get the country back on track and make the nation great again.
The funny thing is that so many centuries later those American citizens fell in the same trap which their ancestors and founders of their nation fled for in the 18th up to 19th century.
Instead of listening to the Bible the majority of the evangelicals keeps to some very particular chosen Bible verses by their congregation and focuses more on human beings instead of focussing on Christ and his heavenly Father.
They had already created their own god, Jesus, instead of keeping to the God of the Bible (Jehovah, the heavenly Father of Jesus) they now out of the American politicians have chosen their other god, Donald Trump, whom they are willing to follow blindfolded.
Although that man has committed so many reprehensible acts in the past as well as in the present, they continue to glorify and follow him instead of facing the truth and reflecting further on the true loves a Christian should adopt.
It’s always important to maintain a certain level of professionalism when writing and addressing a sensitive topic. Throughout my time with the Mainline, I always tried to make it a point to address certain issues with grace and humility. Though I have fallen short in that area many times because of my emotions, I always tried to come from a good place in order to not cause strife or confusion.
I don’t think that will be possible this time. What I have come to learn is that no matter how neat or well put you state your case; be it writing about Black Lives Matter or Self-Righteousness, someone is going to disagree and someone is going to feel ill about your stance because it does not line up with their views or thoughts. This writing will be no different. So, here it goes.
